One thing I was thinking about while driving is how much time we lose while on the road.

That tells you that, yes, I’ve been stuck in heavy traffic long enough to meander over to such topics.

Today’s newsletter covers a royal spectacle: how Malaysian taxpayers subsidise a royal’s bespoke Bugatti.

And I review some of the coverage around Creador to see what’s trippin’ for the PE giant on home ground.

All over Malaysian social media right now is a bespoke Bugatti W16 Mistral.

The luxury sports car was commissioned specifically for Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim (also known as TMJ), at an estimated RM30 million to RM45 million.

I’m neither a petrolhead nor a royalist so I’m not going to go “oohh, ahh” over this.

Because, let’s be real, what deserves to be discussed is what it didn’t cost.
