Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his Cabinet will meet Wednesday and deliberate on releasing the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into pilgrims’ fund Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).
The RCI has been kept under wraps for three years.
Anwar’s explanation was that it was to avoid “public panic” and a rush of withdrawals, and that he hopes the Cabinet would approve the disclosure.
Those are curious defences and they don’t quite hold up.
