Sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional is deploying money to support 100 mid-tier Malaysian companies under a new Dana Impak initiative.
It plans to do this in two ways.
The first, private credit, will see Khazanah work with two investment firms — Navis Capital and Granite Asia — to design and manage customised loan packages for companies.
The second track, private equity, involves Khazanah investing in a fund managed by Kuala Lumpur-based Creador, which will then invest in Malaysian mid-tier companies.
