If you are a frequent traveller across the X (formerly Twitter) universe, you’ll notice the platform’s Grok feature, which is an AI chatbot.

What’s interesting is that X users are deploying Grok to fact check each other.

They simply type in the reply box to a certain user’s postings and tag @grok to generate an answer.

As Grok is X’s large language model, the bot is able to provide an answer based on the millions of postings that populate the social media network.

While we can argue about the flaws of Grok, one thing’s for sure: people are delegating fact-checking and forming opinions to AI. Fun times.
